Prepare
Clear

Clean
Clean the area, brush away any dirt and wipe down the area using Selleys Sugar Soap.
Repair
Use a brush to remove imperfections; if needed, fill gaps and sand any imperfections.
Sand
Lightly sand any pre-painted surfaces.
Protect
Cover the floor with a drop sheet and mask off around the edges.
Paint
Dilute
When spraying with Weathershield®, you need to dilute the paint with up to 10% water.
Stir
Stir the diluted paint to ensure a consistent consistency.
Fill the spray gun
Pour the paint into the spray gun and test the pressure of the paint on a testing sheet.
For corners
Use the circular jet for corners, edges and hard-to-reach surfaces.
Vertical setting
For the internal walls of the outdoor seating area, turn the nozzle to the vertical setting.
Vertical strokes
Start spraying from one side, working across the wall in long vertical strokes.
Start moving
Start moving the sprayer before you press the trigger to prevent too much paint in one area.
Release
Release your finger from the trigger when you get to the edges to prevent too much paint in one area and dripping.
Dry
Wait two hours for the first coat to dry.
Additional coats
Follow the same steps, 2 or 3 coats may be required.
Ceiling
If painting the ceiling, follow the same process, rotating the tube inside when painting at a different angle. We recommend doing the ceiling first.
Clean the spray gun
Ensure you thoroughly clean the spray gun after use.
