New partnership for Australian Institute of Architects and Dulux

Painting a vibrant future for design

Dulux has become the new principal partner of the Australian Institute of Architects, which acts to advance, celebrate, and safeguard Australian architecture.

The institute's work includes positioning strategic policies to government, platforming design excellence through an extensive awards program, and progressing architects with CPD and educational opportunities.

Dulux has long supported Australia’s design leaders and is proud to continue its legacy with this partnership.

Dulux is already responsible for many of the institute’s member offerings such as the annual Dulux Study Tour.

“There’s an opportunity to continue with our investment in the Dulux Study Tour, which allows us to help develop the future of architects in Australia,” says Philip White, General Manager of Dulux Acratex.

“It’s an amazing partnership we’ve had for more than 25 years," says Jevan Dickinson, General Manager of DuluxTRADE. "We’re really excited to bring it to the next level, which I think will allow us to work even closer with the institute in actually helping architects as they move forwards in their careers."

“We want to nurture the next generation of talent as they come through and help them with their careers. At Dulux we’re really committed to helping professionals be the best they possibly can be.”

Dulux’s continuing sponsorship of the Dulux Study Tour is the evergreen example of its mutual stake in the future of Australia’s architects. Dulux is also a regular benefactor of the institute’s Gold Medal National Tour. Whether it’s student members or established practitioners, Dulux looks to uplift and support the growth of architects at every stage.

“I’m incredibly excited to see the outcomes of this partnership, the value it brings to members and the role it takes in shaping the future of our built environment,” says Cameron Bruhn, CEO of the institute.

“Working together, Dulux and the institute are advancing a conversation about the way architecture and design can shape a more beautiful, resilient, and sustainable future for all.”

This year is an exciting time for this partnership with the institute’s Australian Architecture Conference coming to Sydney in May, 2025, the Dulux Study Tour heading to Europe mid-year, and the Dulux Colour Awards already under way.
