Dulux Duramax® Chalky Finish is a fast-drying spray paint delivering a flawless spray with an ultra matt finish and velvety appearance for special projects inside the home.

• The surface must be clean and dry, free from grease, rust and dirt.
• Protect adjoining surfaces from overspray.
• Undercoat dark surfaces with Dulux Duramax® Undercoat to achieve the brightest finish.
• Prime all bare steel and iron with Dulux Duramax® Metal Primer.
• Prime all plastic with Dulux Duramax® Plastic Primer.
Before spraying
• Shake can for at least three minutes after first rattle and regularly during use.
• Lower temperatures and high humidity will slow the drying and affect the gloss level.
• Avoid spraying when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C.
Spray application
• Spray with smooth, even strokes parallel to the surface.
• This product is formulated to resist running and sagging.
• It should be applied in one or more light coats, as opposed to one heavy coat.
• Recoat up to two hours or after 16 hours.
One colour distressing
• Wait two hours before distressing then lightly sand the surface using a fine to medium sandpaper (P240 to P320) until the finish you imagined is achieved.
Two-colour distressing
• Select two Dulux Duramax® Chalky Finish colours and apply two even coats of each colour.
• Wait two hours before sanding or distressing.
After spraying
• Prevent blocking by turning the can upside down and spraying until clear gas emerges.
• Also wipe front of nozzle clean.
• Clean up overspray while it is still wet with mineral turpentine.
Coverage
• Up to 2m2 per can, depending on surface and colour used.
Storage
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place and and away from oxidising agents and corrosive materials.
• Protect from sunlight.
• Store away from sources of heat and/or ignition.
• Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C.
Unused paint
Spray unwanted paint onto newspaper and allow to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections.
