Dulux 1Step® Oil-Based Primer, Sealer & Undercoat is a fast-drying prepcoat suitable for the complete preparation of interior and exterior surfaces.
Do not apply if the surface temperature is below 10C or conditions indicate it will fall below 10C during the drying period.
Do not apply externally
when weather is doubtful, or late in the afternoon during winter, as frost, rain or dew on the uncured
undercoat may result in loss of film integrity and impair durability of the system.
Timber and masonry surfaces.
All surfaces must be thoroughly dry, clean and free of all loose dirt, surface chalk, grease, mould, mildew and wax, loose or flaking paint.
Weathered timber: Sand back to fresh timber and dust off.
Interior timber: Lightly sand and dust off.
Masonry: Can be used on most interior and exterior masonry surfaces, but other precoats such as Dulux Acrylic Sealer Undercoat may be preferred.
New interior set plaster: Use Dulux PRECISION® Sealer Binder.
Check the weather forecast. Do not paint on excessively cold or humid days.
Exposure to rain or overnight dew whilst drying may result in the coating being damaged or removed.
Stir well with a broad flat paddle using an up and down scooping action then apply one coat of Dulux 1Step® Prep.
If applying to new paper-faced plasterboard with jointing compound, a second coat may be required to ensure an even finish.
When painting exterior surfaces, ensure topcoat is applied no more than one week after application.
Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment. If necessary thin up to 100ml per litre of DULUX Spraying Thinner to aid atomisation.
Clean brushes and rollers with mineral turpentine prior to and after use.
Spray application is not recommended for priming timber surfaces.
Do not pour leftover paint down the drain.
Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper and allowed to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections.
