Transform your barbecue, lamps and any objects exposed to heat outside your home with Dulux Duramax® High Heat Enamel. The silicone resin-based spray paint is available in Black to refresh items and delivers heat resistance of between 300°C and 690°C.
Suitable for painting exterior objects exposed to heat, like barbecues, stoves and lamp shades.
Suitable for application on the exterior surfaces only.
• Metal
• The surface must be clean and dry, free from grease, rust and dirt.
• Protect adjoining surfaces from overspray.
Before spraying
• Shake can for at least three minutes after first rattle and regularly during use.
• Lower temperatures and high humidity will slow the drying and affect the gloss level.
• Avoid spraying when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C.
Spray application
• Apply with several light mist coats, two minutes apart, until desired colour is achieved.
• Let coating dry for one hour.
• Then expose to high heat (160°C – 200°C) for one hour to harden the coating.
After spraying
• Prevent blocking by turning the can upside down and spraying until clear gas emerges.
• Also wipe front of nozzle clean.
• Clean up overspray while it is still wet with mineral turpentine.
Storage
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place and and away from oxidising agents and corrosive materials.
• Protect from sunlight.
• Store away from sources of heat and/or ignition.
• Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C.
Unused paint
Spray unwanted paint onto newspaper and allow to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections.
