Three Birds Renovations

Erin and her family lived in their two-storey home with vaulted ceilings and beautiful features for about 18 months before a renovation transformed it into the perfect merge of practicality and beauty.

Light and fresh

The new-look kitchen and atrium are some of the best features in Erin's house. The atrium's tired timber stain on the door, window frames and seating cabinetry was updated in the gorgeous green hue of Still. The kitchen received a new island bench to replace an L-shaped bench that blocked the flow of the room and a servery was installed to open the interior space out to the patio.

Urban Farmhouse dreams come true with Dulux colour

The Three Birds Renovations team turned to the vast Dulux colour range to inform their inspiration and land on the following colour choices for Erin's Urban Farmhouse.

Living and kitchen features

Family lounge

What a difference paint can make! There were no structural renovations to Erin's family lounge, but repainting the neutral room in Still and adding trim to the ceiling and walls added a touch of sophistication to a warm space.

Main bedroom

Three Birds chose the lighter Buff It Half for most of the house to illuminate its darker spaces. However, Erin's bedroom is already lighter due to its positioning on the first floor so the team selected Buff It for all surfaces to make this restful main retreat pop.

Boy's bedroom

The ceiling, cabinetry and feature wall of the bedroom of Erin's son Ed has been given a masculine touch with the use of Blue Metal, which adds depth and warmth to this young man's room.

Colour vibe

The bedroom of Erin's oldest child, Mia, was more sophisticated in its design and details than the other bedrooms. Still, the team aimed to limit the feminine aspect by avoiding peach-pink tones and favouring Buff It and Buff It Half throughout the room and ensuite.

Subtle details

The bedroom of Erin's youngest daughter, Marley, was refreshed with tonal effects. Her bedroom primarily relies on styling and updates to the wardrobe and desk to provide Marley with a sanctuary that will be perfect for her teen years.
