Paint Blocking
Blocking is the undesirable sticking together of two painted surfaces when pressed together (e.g. a door sticking to the jamb).
Possible cause
Not allowing sufficient dry time for the coating before closing doors or windows
Poor conditions during the application or drying period (e.g. low temperatures, high humidity, condensation, rain or dew)

Solution
Use a premium semi-gloss or gloss acrylic enamel paint, Dulux recommends Dulux Aquanamel®. Some water-based paint coatings exhibit a greater tendency to show poor block resistance, ensure that the paint being used is suitable for the area you are coating. Follow paint label instructions regarding dry times. Acrylic enamel paints have better early block resistance than vinyl latex paints, or solvent-based enamel paints.
