Bring an uplifting and joyful mood into your own space this summer with colours from the Dulux Colour Forecast 2025 Emerge palette.
Offering inspiration on how to use this palette and bring a sunny mood to your own space, the Dulux team with Bree Banfield, worked their styling magic on a family home. Focusing their attention in the living area, hallway and bedroom which were predominantly white, neutral spaces.
An abundance of natural light made the bedroom feel open and beautiful. With the addition of warming brown-based pink of Terracotta Chip on the walls and summer-embracing decor completely transformed the space.
A sense of relief and casualness was introduced to the space from the simple still-life artwork to the beautiful Vintage Lilac painted on the cabinetry under the bay window.
Pops of light yellow in the cushions inspired by Emerge palette colour Lemon Blast offset the window and ceiling in Hog Bristle® Quarter. As a result, the tonal transformation emits a feeling of pure joy without overwhelm.
The light-filled living room was made for entertaining, which allowed the team to create spaces filled with character and connection by painting the walls and ceiling in Piglet.
The adjacent wall provided an opportunity to introduce another burst of colour, so the muted, golden brown of Clay Bake was chosen to help ground the space and encourage the demarcation of different zones in the room.
Adding contrast to the neutral backdrop, Banfield used bolder colours from the palette in furnishings, curved ceramic objects and coloured glass vessels, including warm, murky greens and muted blues and purples.
To add some character and connection to the rest of the home, the team added colour to the hallway using Lemon Blast on the ceiling and Cornstalk on the walls and decorative architraves at the end of the space.
“As a home that’s designed for entertaining, introducing colour to this space was an obvious choice to instantly evoke a sense of fun and wonder, draw you into the inviting space and complete the sunny transformation.”
Lauren Treloar, Dulux Colour Manager.
Create a relaxed, inviting environment with striped patterns, floral still-life artwork, cushions, and side tables alongside free-flowing lines and organic curves. For individuality, add boucle-textured furnishings, modular furniture, and hand-crafted vessels.

Any mix of colours from the palette can be used to capture the trend of Emerge palette. However, a good starting point is to use larger portions of the warmer shades to inspire wall and ceiling choices and bigger furniture pieces. For accents, reference cooler colours within the palette throughout decorative objects, cushions and artwork.
