Summer
As the last of the winter chill heads out the front door, it’s time to invite summer in by taking up the paintbrush and getting creative with Dulux’s summer-inspired Wonder palette. Our imaginations are rekindled as we bring more colour into our interior spaces and express our re-connection with the alluring outdoors. The colours of Wonder are both serene and invigorating at the same time, promoting positivity and awakening the senses. Colour featured: Dulux Harmonious.
Summer dining
With stunning views to the verdant courtyard, this dining room cried out for that uplifting colour to be brought inside. Adding Celery Green to the panelled walls brings the outdoor palette inside while still allowing the garden aspect to hero in the space. In the spirit of the Wonder trend the room needed a touch of whimsy and the unexpected so Pinkham was added to the door frames.
Summer colour
Natural light flooding into the living room lent itself to the addition of pretty, summery colour. Changing all-white room to an immersive colour can be daunting, but a great solution is to add partial wall colour, whether that be at dado or picture rail height, or just a two-thirds design detail such as this living room makeover. The white trims don't stand out as much and soften the transition between the two colours. Vivid White™ paired with Equatorial Forest adds an earthy backdrop to the playful pastel décor.
Nook warmth
Sassy is featured in this home study/office nook, adding warmth to the open-plan area and working beautifully as the backdrop to lilac and yellow décor also seen throughout the connecting shared living space.
Seeking harmony
To add a more summery mood in this bedroom Harmonious was used for the bottom two-thirds of the wall, with Vivid White™ applied to the top third and ceiling. Paired with floral artwork and bedding in clashing patterns that feature pillows in colours from the palette, these hues will help personalise a child’s space and spark imagination.
