Create the look: Escapade

Colour really makes my heart sing! For this fresh, fun space, I’ve used brave, bold block colours to create my dream room. I love an element of surprise, so I’ve clashed patterns and geometric shapes, and played with scale to create a playful, exciting look and feel.

Inspired by holidays in Palm Springs and Miami – I’ve brought the outdoors in with indoor plants, used colourful artwork and a green feature wall to channel that vibrant, happy feel.

Pip's Tips

  • Yellow is like magic! Use it as an accent colour to make your other colours pop.

  • Looking for inspiration for a new colour scheme? Start by pulling key colours from your favourite artwork to build a colour palette for your room.

  • Use directional lines to take your eye on a journey through the room. Try fine-lined furniture or fittings in black, or experiment by painting a linear pattern on the wall.
