We believe sustainability is everyone’s business. Anything worth doing depends on a stable climate, a balanced environment, and strong communities. We are proud to share some of our current sustainable products and initiatives that we are actively focusing on.
Some materials used to make paint contain volatile organic compounds (VOC) and even very low VOC paints can have high chemical emissions, also known as fumes, and are released from paint into the air while painting. You can often smell fumes for days or weeks after painting, but even if you can't smell anything they can still be there. Dulux has been at the forefront of low VOC paint innovation, introducing low VOC paints such as Dulux UltraAir®, Dulux envirO₂™ and Dulux Wash&Wear®.
We’re committed to providing more eco-conscious and sustainable products.
Dulux UltraAir® is the perfect choice if you’re looking for a premium water-based paint with ultra-low chemical emissions and odour. It will help you maintain indoor air quality and get back into your room sooner. Dulux UltraAir® is the first range in Australia to have GREENGUARD Gold certification.
View the range-->The Dulux envirO₂™ range of environmentally responsible paints doesn't compromise on washability, stain resistance and application performance. They have a very low VOC content, low odour and help prevent mould growth. With Global GreenTag™, EPD® and Declare® Red List Free certifications, it's the environmental choice.
View the Dulux envirO₂™ range-->Dulux is a founding member of Paintback, a not-for-profit organisation helping DIY and trade painters responsibly dispose of unwanted paint and packaging at collection points across Australia.
Paintback repurposes the valuable materials in leftover paint into recycled packaging, alternative energy fuel as well as water resources and is funding research to find better uses for unwanted paint and packaging waste.
Dulux continually develops sustainable solutions to help reduce environmental impact and meet industry standards. Dulux envirO₂™ and Dulux UltraAir® have Australasia Environmental Product Declarations and certifications from Global GreenTag™ and Greenguard. These approvals contribute to achieving credits under the Green Star®, WELL™ and other leading green building rating schemes.
Improving the sustainability impacts of Dulux products is a key priority and an opportunity to ensure we contribute to and enable our long-term success in a low-carbon, more circular future while meeting the expectations of our customers and consumers.

Our commitment to sustainability continues behind the scenes as we've been installing solar power systems across the Dulux Trade Centre store network to reduce carbon emissions since 2022. This follows technology used at our manufacturing facility to reduce Dulux’s environmental impact, including solar power generation, rain harvesting and on-site wastewater management.
